Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital presents A Day for Children, Nova Southeastern University’s FREE annual health literacy event hosted by the NSU Alvin Sherman Library. For over 20 years, more than 100,000 residents have attended the event to receive and learn about basic medical information to help them make informed decisions for their children and families. Health care education and activities for vision, medical, speech, behavior, and dental health as well as physical and occupational therapy will be provided through NSU Health Centers. Students and faculty from several of NSU's colleges and centers will provide activities for the children attending this event. In addition to NSU Health's clinical options, there will be government agencies, for-profit and non-profit healthcare options.
