  • 211 Broward is a 24/7 comprehensive helpline connecting people to health and human services as well as crisis and emotional support. This service is free, confidential, and anonymous.

  • Baptist Health is a Not-for-profit Hospital serving Monroe, Miami Dade, Broward, and West Palm Beach County. There will be two storytimes by a Baptist Health Behavioral Health Specialist featuring titles from the Book Giveaway.

 

  • Since 1965, Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County has been doing whatever it takes to ensure our Club youth have a great future. We provide youth in grades 1 through 12 with caring, trained staff and mentors, a safe Club space, and innovative, quality programs designed to empower youth to excel in school and lead wholly healthy, productive lives.

  • Broward County Libraries will provide information about their resources, services, and upcoming programs. You can also pick up a branded Broward County Library Card.
     

  • Broward County Property Appraiser, Office of Marty Kiar BCPA staff will assist residents with filing for property tax exemptions and related assessment questions as well as register them for the owner alert.
     

  •  Broward County Sea Turtle Conservation Program is responsible for monitoring 24 miles of Broward beaches for sea turtle nesting activity. Visit our table to see skull and shell specimens of sea turtles, educational displays, and Sea Turtle Specialists who will discuss all that we do!
     

  • Broward Healthy Start  Coalition will provide educational and support materials to expecting women, parenting families, and caregivers in our community. BHSC is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization established in 1991 to assist expectant mothers and fathers with reducing and preventing poor birth outcomes and promoting appropriate and safe infant and child development in Broward County. In addition to helping parents of young children, the Coalition also funds organizations that provide quality services to pregnant women and infants in the community. The Coalition is known for our Home Visitation Program which provides education and support to expecting women, parenting families, and caregivers in our community.

  • The Broward County Sheriff's Office is a public safety organization led by Sheriff Gregory Tony, Ph.D. The Broward Sheriff's Office Neighborhood Support Team will be distributing educational resource material and giveaway items.  Don't miss the chance to interact with and learn more about BSO directly from the deputies onsite.
     

  • Broward County Water Smart stop by their table for drowning prevention and water safety resources.

 

  • Interested families can learn about Broward County WIC's services, how to apply, eligibility requirements, and get referrals. Pamphlets on breastfeeding and nutrition will also be provided.

 

  • Broward Health is a hospital system with 4 hospitals in Broward County, including 2 children's hospitals.  Stop by their table for   information and giveaways that promote a healthy lifestyle and showcase the variety of services that they  offer.
     

  • Broward Healthy Start Coalition will showcase information about FREE breastfeeding, childbirth, and parenting classes. Safe sleep education and support. Offering support and community resources for expecting women and parenting families.
     

  • For over 50 years, Camelot Community Care has been serving children and families experiencing abuse, neglect, behavioral health and substance abuse issues. As a Non-Profit charitable organization, we accomplish our mission of enabling children and families to realize their fullest potential by stopping the cycle of abuse and neglect in families and in our community. No child should have to recover from their childhood and you can join us in keeping children safe and creating a bright future for our most important resource. Learn about the Foster Home Recruitment and Management program available in Broward, Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast as well as the In-Home Counseling Program and the Independent Living Program available in Broward County. Interested families can learn more about Camelot's services and will be able to apply during the event.
     

  • Center for Hearing and Communication is a Nonprofit organization serving Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Late-Deafened individuals, persons with communication challenges, and their families for 43 years in South Florida. Our Goal is to educate and empower youth and adults with hearing loss to gain equal access to communication and to connect to life, and do so by supporting with and educating on the life changing tools to navigate the hearing world.
     

  • Children's Bereavement Center (CBC) | Lift from Loss was founded in Miami in 1999 and is a non-profit, community organization providing FREE grief peer support groups for children, teens and adults. CBC also provides grief education and training for educators, healthcare workers and community professionals while continuing grief research and providing grief resources for all. Visit our table to decorate a bag or bookmark.
     

  • Learn more about the Children's Medical Services Health Plan for children who:
    •    Are under age 21 and eligible for Medicaid and
    •    Have special healthcare needs that require extensive preventive and ongoing care

  •  Children's Services Council of Broward County  provides funding for services in Broward serving children and families.
     

  • Citrus Health Network is foster care organization whose mission is to provide information of the urgent need of foster parents needed for teenage children in foster care. Their goal is to open up safe homes for children that are victims of Human Trafficking. If a family is interested in becoming a foster parent in Broward County please visit  the table.
     

  • The Crockett Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Pompano and Fort Lauderdale, dedicated to transforming the lives of children in our community, one at a time. Since 2002, thousands of middle school and high school students  have been empowered through after-school and summer youth development programs, including coding and academic support. Their mission is to cultivate future leaders by providing hands-on experiences that enhance their skills and knowledge. Thanks to the generosity of donors, they are proud to help students graduate with improved grades, valuable new skills, and a renewed sense of optimism for their futures.   • The Davie-Cooper City Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation is focused on connecting the community  and businesses and creating strong partnerships. Visit the table to learn about Community engagement through various programs. Mentorship, Apprenticeship Opportunities, Backpack Drive and Volunteer hours.
     

  • The Drowning Prevention Program at the Florida Department of Health in Broward County will be providing drowning prevention information and resources. 
     

  • The food distribution from Feeding South Florida and its team of volunteers is back. Plastic bags will be provided to attendees. Feeding South Florida’s mission is to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts and transforming lives through innovative programming and education.
     

  • A fun interactive display at Flamingo Gardens' table will feature plants, caterpillars, and butterflies.  Established in 1927, Flamingo Gardens is one of the oldest botanical gardens and attractions in South Florida. Flamingo Gardens is the premier Everglades Learning Center and South Florida Wildlife and Botanical Sanctuary. Flamingo Gardens mission is to depict, preserve, and provide education about the natural and cultural heritage of South Florida and the Everglades in our botanical gardens and wildlife sanctuary.

  •  Florida Blue will be handing out brochures and information about their community resources and don't miss the airbrush 'tattoo' artist.   • Enjoy an exciting circus performance  and singing  performance by  Florida Children's Theatre  the premier educational center for theatre arts in South Florida. 
     

  • Florida Health KidCare is designed specifically with kids in mind. Children get access to their services they need at every stage of their growth and development. At their table, they'll talk about their quality plans for children ages 1-18 that offer choices of local doctors, dentists, specialists, hospitals, pharmacies, and other health care providers.
     

  • Florida Health O2DA is the State of Florida Department of Health in Broward County. Pick up educational handouts on opioid safety and preventing overdose. 
     

  • Participants interested in the Florida Health WIC Program will be able to start the enrollment process and receive general WIC program information. WIC is a nutrition program for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding or who have recently been pregnant, infants, and children under the age of 5. WIC provides the following at no cost to eligible participants: healthy food, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support and referrals to other community services. 
     

  • Florida Health-HIV Prevention Program offers free HIV- Related/Get PrEP information as well as education on HIV and the importance of getting tested for HIV/STD's.

  • Healthy Family Broward will share information on their program to prevent Child abuse and neglect. They offer a home visitation program to educate parents about child development, positive parent child interaction, goal setting and positive discipline.
     

  • The Home Depot seeks to create future builders by giving a hands-on experience in making new projects and encouraging individual creativity.

  • Hope Links is a specialized learning center and outpatient therapy clinic that offers educational services, speech therapy, occupational therapy and behavioral therapy for children.
     

  •  Humane Society of Broward County will share information about their largest fundraiser of the year, the Walk for The Animals and will have registration open for the walk. HSBC offers surrender prevention programs to help keep pets at home with their owners

  • University of Florida - New Worlds Reading learn about a free reading program through New Worlds Reading. designed for VPK - 5th grade students in public or charter schools in Florida. If eligible, families receive 9 free books and year.
